Gallery Viewability?

Currently the Gallery is only accessible for Members. So if you want to show someone pictures, they need to be a member of the site. Profiles are 100% Viewable to anyone.

My question is.... Should I leave it the same? or allow non members to view member pictures?

i think you should leave it, not everyone wants their pics shown to just anyone....

I am inbetween on this sort of, simply because I dont get it really.

Alot of people that I have had sign up to the site cant view pics in the galleries. So I am guessing that they have to be saluted, or PAID members of the site.

I think that everyone that is signed up to the site (non Paying people as well) should be able to view the regular galleries (and contests) and PAID members should be the only ones allowed to view adult pics.

I dont think that being saluted, nor a paying member should be a factor in the non adult galleries.

alot of people keep telling me they dont understand the site, that it isnt very user friendly, and thus give up coming back.

REALLY??? I found it to be a lot easier than some sites.... Maybe we just have way too much stuff spread out???

Ok...Here is an Idea...Gallery Access is now @ $1,000 HoC cash a 500 posts.
my thought is...make it. $100 HoC 50 posts for a months worth of Gallery access..I don't know how much work that involves..but seems reasonable to me. just for Non-Adult access to the Galleries. Then new people have a reasonable goal to reach before they can view.

I am willing to toss 100 cash anytime i have it for new people.

well I voted no simply cause I think if you want to see the pictures take the time to sign up and be a real active member of the site.

As for what Lisa said about userfriendliness....I find that really hard to believe. I am one of the worst computer site users ever. It normally takes me forever to figure out how to use a site and I never had any major problems with HOC. Everything is fairly straightforward if you click on stuff and see where it goes. It is the easiest site I have used in a very very long time.

i have also had ppl tell it it was hard to understand and i think to some, it is. to us, most of us have been here so long and used it so much that it became really easy and we've been part of the growth of this site, which gives us a chance to deal with changes one at a time.

i think that in order to view photos, people should not only sign up, they should post at least somewhat... at least 50 posts....may not sound like a lot to your post whores, but even to me that would take me a while. and obviously if that person is making nonsense posts just to post, it can be up to the moderator whether or not viewability or membership should be given/kept.

i dont, however, agree that already members have to pay or be saluted in order to view regular photos. i think that should only be for adult photos.

Basicly what we are saying I think is ... If you open up the Photos to anyone that can just come in and look at them..then you are risking the Integrity of the Site and those of us that try to be here on a normal basis..I don't want to see pictures of any of you on some one else's profile on a messenger thing in chat or any of that stuff.

Like you or not! lol..I like everyone so far but there is always a chance I wouldn't like some one..I still don't want to see some perv.. putting up a pic of you in a profile

I guess its just me being an old man and trying to be fatherly.

I too would like to see the # of active users go up..but it seems to me you have to have some kind of hold on it..or like I said on another post here recently you end up with a crowd in here that is just here for messing things up. Which would make things worse for you...that keep the site up and running.

Well, I missed the vote, but I would have voted NO!

For many reasons. The main reason is because I have pictures of my children in there, and I wouldn't want just anybody viewing them!
