Um shit I don't know what to say here. I'm new to the site so hi. My friend wouldn't leave me alone till I made an account. Right now she is typing this shit for me as I stand there laughing at her. And I am itching my nose.

Well, at least I get a chance to introduce meself. I am Delphi, I am still a pup in college, well 23 now, and just a measly three months from graduating.

I am pretty much a beginner goth, with a lot of darkness and cookies to give, so don't be afraid to smack me up and whip me into a full fledged honest to gods gothic chick.

And as for you my perky friend, you shall get your toy later...oh yeah!

Welcome to HoC, I am too very much into the old Goth stuff, so if you need any tips, ask away (tips as in cool bands to try out, not how to be more goth, as that is just stupid, you are what you are, never try to be something to fit others perceptions)

She is kinda a nota goth at the moment stov. She has the personality.... the cultural likes... and the morbid seance of humor but she dresses like one of the norms *sigh* there is much work to do.

I can understand someone having to dress normal in a work environment, but outside... no way , I think I back to back session of Hardware, Bela Lagosi's Dracula, Near Dark, ease her in with maybe something by Tim Burton, and at least she can begin to immerse herself, oh and have some of the classics playing in the background, Siouxsie, Sisters, FOTN, Bauhaus, and some light reading, most Poppy Z Brite books will do the trick

Nah, I never have been one to fit what other people would expect of me. I mean, come'on, I grew up (well, was raised to be) a catho-holic. Now look at the place I am at. I have always been attracted to the unusual, the supernatural, and the morbid.

I probably phrased my last post in a way that was a bit misleading. I do not want to be changed by anyone, but I like suggestions for music, places to shop, good artists and great/interesting folklore. Also I love to get my daily dose of humor mixed with shades of darkness. It seems like this is the perfect place for me to take a look at a like-minded community and make a few friends. BTW I already love most of Tim's work, and I love classic horror movies, but I am always looking for something to give me a good weeks worth of nightmares. If you have a movie in mind that would do that, feel free to let me know.

As for Indemis gothing me out, just for a trial run, I would be more than up to that. I have all of the necessary things, I just rarely have the opportunity to wear them.

"Gothing" out is too damned easy these days. Unless you plan on going the way of the "Lipstick" goths. That's a lot more difficult to do. I'm far from a Goth but some days I'm pegged as one simply because of my music and I like the way black looks (usually my black is mixed with a baby blue suit coat and albino python skin cowboy boots).
