My Mood:   | handheld GPS information???? Does anyone know anything about these. I was looking at getting one for my father for Christmas. He is about as tech savvy as a rock, and he would be using for driving and marine applications. Does anyone have any experience with these as to brands and whatnot? I was looking at Garmin, but I'm open to any helpful suggestions. Oh yeah, I'm looking to spend $300-$500 tops....It may be wishful thinking, but its all I can afford. Thanks |

My Mood:  | I am the co-worker Exitilus spoke of. I have two GPS receivers. One USB type for my notebook PC and one CF type for my PDA. I’m not at all experienced with any of the stand alone GPS devices. |

My Mood:  | My grandfather has a GPS for his car .. the day I found out I about fell over laughing as he doesn't drive nearly far enough to be in need of one lmao .. that and the fact he doesnt really know how to use it ... i think he just got it for the sake of going .. LOOK .. I have GPS in my car

My Mood: | my father often goes out fishing on a smallish boat into the Atlantic Ocean by himself or with my mom. It can get a little dicy sometimes. Plus when my mom is riding shotgun in the car and giving directions.....  not a pretty sight. My dad has absolutely no interests other than Walker, Texas Ranger and McGyver, and fishing. He is next to impossible to buy gifts for. |
