My Mood:  | I'm Such a Stud! Two years ago, I gave up using this ancient laptop I inherited from a friend because I couldn't get it to hold a charge anymore. I hauled it back to Seattle with me anyway, with thoughts of fixing it floating through the back of my brain. Since then, I practically forgot I still had it, and I found it the other day in the bottom of my duffel in the coat closet. I discussed it with John, who agreed the battery was probably due to be replaced. After a bit of searching, I found the battery (heh) and removed it to see what I should look for in a replacement. As I looked on eBay, I fiddled with the AC adaptor and found one connection to be a bit loose. I shoved it in as far as it would go (Shup!) and put the battery back in the laptop. Two hours later, it was fully charged. Now I have something to write my book on until I can afford something better than this glorified paperweight.  The End.

My Mood:     | haha I did the same thing with my old laptop...and then the connector was pushd so far in it wouldn't come out. then we had a power surge and i fried the mother board. so yeah...keep it on a surge protector...would hate to lose that book!!!

My Mood: | Yeah no kidding. I plan to get a thumb drive to keep it on as a backup. I just have to find my little adaptor that changes the mouse port into a USB. Probably in storage, which is where I'm going next.
