alien vs. predator

Yes, it was bad.

I enjoyed parts of it in a 'guilty pleasure' kinda way: seeing the predators and aliens fight.

I actually thought it was good. Though I can't stand either of the two by them selves. Thought they sucked..until they combined them.

But back to the task at hand. I loved the Alien movies, Predator and Predator 2. As great as those movies were separate, putting them together, they should've done so much more (and better) than they did. The only good thing was the back story of "the hunt" and the predators right of passage. Other than that, I wasn't that impressed.

Ya, the beginning story was pretty cool. It just went all kinds of suckage shortly there after.

It was a film that had sooooo much potential... many a time me and a friend have said they ought to make an AVP film.. they make it.. it was a let down.. ok.. it was reasonable.. but it certainly was nothing like what it could have been if they viewed it through Stovvision

Two best parts...

She gets accepted as a Warrior by the Predator
The Queen gets yanked down by the water tower.

The back-story was a much needed addition to the film since the rest of it wouldn't have a lick of sense without it. The dramatics had major issues that needed more attention than one film could handle. The base story line itself needed at least two films to keep it straight and interesting.

Other than that, I won't be waiting patiently for it to show up on USA Network anytime soon.
