I thought all the previews made it look good.

*hmph*

I went and watched it the other day. It was pretty good.

I think I might need to watch it again though.

As much as I liked the bar fight and car chases, they seemed a bit weak when compared to stuff in recent movies like "Bourne Supremecy" and "The Transporter". On the other hand "Dukes" was ten times more believable than "Transporter", especially after you take in to account that Johnny Knoxville and Sean Williams Scott's stunt doubles weren't used that much. (Mr. Knoxville was sent to a fighting school while Mr. Scott was sent to a driving school.)

The script was pretty typical of any "Dukes" storyline, although added weed, booze, and booty.

Casting/acting: nobody attempted to emulate the original characters. (Except for Flash, he was true to form) To be honest I'm not sure if this was a good or bad thing.

Despite all of this, the thrill of seeing the General Lee in all its glory: a shiny coat of paint and a growling Hemi, almost makes everything else a moot point. (To start the film they have a beat up POS that resembles the well known General.)

I also like that this is a "Dukes" movie not a parody.

Well.... I know I am late with this comment, lol, but better late than never.

I actually went to the movies 2 times to see it. Dont ever tell daniel, lol. Daniel went to his grannies for the weekend, the friday it came out so Nick, Joey, and I went. Then we took daniel to see it on sunday when he came back home.

I thought the movie was alright the first time I seen it. The second time I seen it I really got into it. I didnt like the fact that boss hog was so skinny but Burt Reynolds did the boss justice. I dont think that anyone could replace the original rosco, but seriously I thought that Johnny Knoxville and Sean Penn played better dukes than even the originals. Jessica Simpson, In my opinion is alright looking, but not as near as hot as they were trying to push her to be. But then, I never thought daisy was hot either. *shruggs* the movie was funny, and really good. You just have to give it a chance and accept the fact that it is somewhat different from the original tv show. If you have no room for change, then you wont like this movie.

See I would watch it if they had used some one besides Jessica and Burt I think. I remember being six going to the car show and sitting on Boss Hogs lap to take a picture.
But they needed some one with a little weight to be boss. And Catherine Bach is a brilliant woman. Who else would have said "No,I will not wear a bikini,It's not the Character to do that. She is a country girl. Not a whore."
refusing to do the Photo shoot for CBS's poster of Daisy. So she bought the rites to do it her self. And made her retirement money with the posters she sold of "Daisy Duke". And the first thing you see when you see this Movie's Trailers is? Jessica Simpson with all of the Steriotypes she protrays in her "real life ." Yeah like thats fake.
