You're right, a lot of people like the new uniforms more. But the last thing i want to wear when on the sand is green and black lol. Besides, this thing has better pockets, and: *GASP* I DONT SHINE THE BOOTS OR PRESS THE UNIFORM! ANY soldier out there is thanking the stars for that.

lol that is very true. And my husband says they feel like wearing PJ's cause they are so comfy.

But I do find the velcro a little strange. What happens if you go to open your pocket very very quietly in a dangerous situation and you hear the RIP of the velcro.

Its not exactly the quietest thing avaliable.

that is a very popular complaint. Velcro is a pretty poor concept on a combat uniform. I guess the solution is shoot the enemy before pulling the map out of your pocket? Want to talk about PJs? The uniforms we wear in the Alaskan Arctic were the best! Big 'ol comfy uniforms. It only sucks we had to be living and training in -80 below zero weather to wear them haha

Bunny boots. Those things have saved me from frost bite on the feet a hundred times. They are goofy as hell, but your feet sweat at 60 below in those things. On the flip side, they are made of plastic, so when you put them on in the morning after you get up they are freak'n COLD! Also, there is no worse feeling in the world than getting out of your sleeping bag when it is 60 below. When it is that cold, you can't even move with out getting cold air in through the zipper lol

getting out is like... imagine.
