gloating thread

ok... so like, um... im tripping out... the ex-drummer of Yard Sail (a local punk band that *used* to kick ass before they changed their sound, which is why the drummer left) is jamming in my house with my guitar-playing boyfriend and a bass player named Shawn, who apparently is known as "The Flea of Spokane" as in Red Hot Chili Peppers, because he kicks ass at playing bass.... they are all playing their shit and its sounding awesome...my house is shaking all over the place, its great! if the chemistry goes well and everything, they are going to form the punk band my boyfriend has been waiting for... we'll see but this is so exciting, even for me and im just the girlfriend!

Is that why I never saw him playing with other people; he was waiting for the right people to come along?

I was starting to wonder if your bf was even serious about music.

he was on and off serious because he was starting to feel that he wasnt going to be able to find anyone that he could relate to. hes been having a hard time here and we've been talking about moving to seattle, but if these guys work out, it will be good for him. they really like him and hes been working on songs for a while, he just has to finish them.
