| Mondu's Sperm Bank | Music upgrades... List CD(s) the you got rid of. Then list the CD(s) you got to replace them. A couple of weeks ago I traded... ~Beter Than Ezera. (Their most recent.) ~All my Goo Goo Dolls CDs. ...for... ~Guns N Roses: Appetite For Destruction. Why did I wait so long?! ~Green Day: American Idiot. Man these guys are growing up. Not sure if I like the change, but I like the CD by itself. ~Big N Rich. 'Save A Horse, Ride A Cowboy' is a good song, but the rest of the album didn't impress me. Although, this is the story of every country album I've listened to. (Already have decided to get rid of this one.) ~Bowling For Soup: A Hangover You Don't Deserve. Haven't listened to it yet. My truck's CD player keeps spitting it out. Is that a sign? ~Not music, but I also picked up Ron White's: Drunk In Public. Funny bastard. ![]()

My Mood: | I got the Bowling For Soup one you mentioned but haven't listened to it all the way through. I've been mostly DL'ing single songs lately, haven't bought any CDs in a while, so this is hypothetical- what I want to get rid of and acquire: Want to dump: Classic Rock Superhits- cheap compilation: the only songs on it that I like I have elsewhere Linda Ronstadt- Greatest Hits 1 and 2- only a couple of songs I like and could just rip them to my computer Want to get: Anything by Civilized Animal (except their most recent one which I have) Elephant and Get Thee Behind Me, Satan by the White Stripes And some Cake. ![]() Good idea for a thread.

My Mood: | I never get rid of CDs.....with the exception of ones that have been damaged or stolen, I have every CD I have purchased over the last 25 years. I do have to admit that like Jess, I have just about stopped buying new music, and simply download the one or two good songs from each artist. The only CDs I buy anymore are classic stuff I want simply to have it.

| Krazed Addicted Master | the only CD I ever got rid of was one from Vertical Horizon because I became a lil superstitious after hearing a song from them repeatedly, shortly before a relationship ended, rather badly I might add. but I'm always upgrading my music collection. For some messed up reason, I've been buying some oldschool country CD's... and I hardly listen to it hehe ![]()

| kats' british boy toy Honorary Crazed Psycho | I used to get rid of music that I did not like/have not listen to for ages, but now, I live with it, and it is kind of a way to see the way my tastes develop (I had a fancy word that was something similar to the study of the passage of time.. or similar..but for the life of me.. I cannot think of it)
