My Mood:    | Possible Site Changes.... This thread was created and discussed in the Admin forum BEFORE I made it public. So if it looks like I am directing it at mods and such, that is because initally I was. I would like the rest of the sites feedback as well. Please, take time to read this thread, and answer with all opinions, pros, cons, etc. so we can make a choice. Thanks. The admin. and Mod staff First I want everyone that reads this to respond, so that I know you have seen it. Perferably I would like a reply back with what you think of the ideas that are being tossed around, and not some lame smart ass reply like.... Read it, seen it, etc. with that out of the way, Derek, Shaz, and myself had a long disscussion today about adding two new features to the site. The first feature would require Wits approval right off the hop before anyone elses comments and opinions matter. Simply because she would be the whole backbone of it. We want to know what you think about making a comic strip based on the site. Ofcourse we would need wit to do the graphics, and derek will do the writing of it. Be it an actual storyline comic, or like a comedyshow type comic, that is not decided and needs to be discussed here. But the whole comic idea I thought was really cool. Let me know what you think. The next thing is a chat option. Nothing big. But maybe a chatroom for singles, and a chatroom for general (everything else). I understand that right away you will think.... well, that will take from people posting. I thought that too. But there are alot of people that dont like to post. Maybe a chatroom would open them up a bit, and then get them posting when they are more comfortable with the enviorment around here. Plus, it will keep people from having to go to IM or PM just to say hello, good afternoon, or whatever they do and say when not posting in the forums. Threads may stay on topic more as well. But.... I just want to know what you think of this. hehe.... I know there may be pros and cons. But derek and I want to know what you think. Not only the pros. Not only the cons. But also different script Ideas, or different chatroom topics, etc. All opinions are welcome.

My Mood:   | COmic book...hmmm...I would be game for it.  *fingers already itching*And I also think it is a great idea. The storylines should be way HoC....and deffinately based on a city like insane asylum atomosphere...the nurses and doctors need to be the villians and patients the heroes...It would be fun to maybe pick up crazy lines out of the forum posts...throw some of those one liners that make us crack up in. Ok...I'm rambling. As far as the chat rooms...it would be great...may even encourage some of the new members to actually say something...a lot of netters have no clue about forums. and a chat room would be a great place to start. Con about this is moderation. There would probably not be one of us in there at all times so a REALLY good rules posting would be in order...and I would suggest a feedback form link to report abuse. |

My Mood: | Kewl beans on the comic strip, as for the chat room, I am not completely 100% sure about this, or even 50% sure about it. And right now I am not in the mood even explain why I think what I am thinking... I have too much on my plate here at home. |

My Mood: | Well, I think that before we all decide against or for either of the two, we should post this thread so that the users can post their opinions as well. We need reasons why people think the way they do. Personally I really like the comic strip Idea myself. Good thinking shaz. hehe... As for the chat... I am not as confident about it as I would like to be, but still at the same time, I think that it would draw in new users. For the same reasons that paula listed. In all honesty, before the dilly, I never looked for forums. I went to chats. Alot of people dont know what forums are, lol. If they did a search for chat room. Chats. etc. and we popped up, that may intrege them enough to check it out. Its just one more thing that we would offer the public to make this a whole, 100 percent, better place then most other sites.  So although I am not really pushing for a chat room, and dont really mind if we do create one or dont, my vote goes for Yes.

My Mood:  | you know I am totally game for the comic strip idea...I think it would be really fun to incorporate some of the people on HOC, that would make it really worth reading The chat room idea I am sort of 'eh' on to be honest. I think your reasoning behind it is very good....it is either going to go one way or another though...it will either open up more people to posting...or bring in a whole crowd of worthless rifraf (that was mean...i take it back) but yeah....read it

My Mood: | I like your ideas. And I agree. Personally I thought the idea of reading threads and seeing off the wall stuff, then making a weekly comic about different posts and such that the users said at one time or another was a cool idea. But I also like the idea that shaz and paula are thinking as well. A story line. Either way, I think both are good ideas. I also agree with you on the chat. It will probably draw riftraft in there. But the whole reasoning was to draw attention. If we were to do the chat, and thats not saying we are, we would probably take in a mod to monitor it as their number one priority. NOT saying that is what is going to happen, but an idea. The way it looks so far, with everyone so shaky about the chat, we may not even concider it further. We need more opinions, hehe...

They are faithful to the forums. Do you think that they wouldnt post in the forums anymore? That is the reason for opinions. I seriously think that the ones loyal to posting would still post. And the ones that like the RPG, and arcade would still HAVE to post as well, for morphine, and for the right to play games. now say something back. lol. I dont want you to think I am arguing the cause for a chat room, or against a chat room. I am simply weighing out the pros and cons in conversation with everyone.

But of course, you'd need some ground rules n' someone to watch over it n' keep the peace So, it sounds like a good idea, but I don't know how well the change would be accepted and used with the inmates hehe but if it gets put up, I'll show my support n' use it. even if it means talkin to myself and I know you aren't arguing for either side. if I didn't lub ya so much, I'd have to kick yo beehind for thinkin I would think that  hehe
