| the circle, complete yea, I know, been gone a long time, more on that elsewhere and later...
my Memorial Day poem... the circle, complete
and i hid there behind his carcass eating bullets that were meant for me, for you
and all you've got to say is buddy can you spare a dime
when you couldn't spare a nickel's worth of sorrow
for the bloodshed that you had me bring right to your sill
500 channels and it's all live all we ever wanted
was everything clickclickclick and the mag's empty
and the body's full of lead but he's long dead
so who's really to blame
blood never lies
live every day like it's your first, love like it's your last
and don't forget me when the sun comes out again
blood only cries
a child wakes up in her mother's arms, and the guns are silent
until then, we have to lock and load
that's your bones in the dirt now, step up
blood brings blood
