clearing your temporary internet files may work. if it does not then your max transit or (mtu) may be overloaded. this is from a memory leak that windows has had since windows 95. it can usually be fixed by restarting your puter.

as to it not starting back up before did you have to pull the plug out of the wall or flip the on off switch on the power supply?
